Berlin Drawings

I spent three months in Berlin in 2002. During this time, once every week, I drew the map of the city out of my memory.

I had not been to Berlin before and I could not speak German. As I cycled in the city a lot, I learned many street names. The progress of my knowledge of the city growing is visible when looking at the twelve drawings in chronological order.
